How do I change the email I sign in with?

From the sign-in email section of your dashboard, enter the new address. The registry emails your current sign-in email to confirm, and the change happens only when the button in that email is pressed. The link works once, for 24 hours, and your original sign-in email stays on record. If your sign-in links come by text, you add a sign-in email the same way and the confirmation is texted to that mobile number.

  1. Sign in and open Sign-in email in your dashboard.
  2. Enter the new address and send the confirmation. It goes to the email you sign in with now, not the new one.
  3. Open that email, check both addresses, and press Confirm. From then on sign-in links go to the new address, and a notice is sent there.

Confirming from the current address is what stops somebody who reaches an open dashboard from moving your sign-in to an inbox they control. When your sign-in links come by text there is no email yet, so the confirmation link is texted to the mobile number they go to, and pressing it adds the email. If you can no longer read your current sign-in email or that phone, write to the registry and a person will check it is you before changing it. This is separate from the public email on your profile, which you edit with your profile details.
